Halloween 2008

Last year-Josie was not fond of the Halloween costume i got her (Tinkerbell). And since she has an aversion to clothing anyway-I knew I need to dress her in something comfortable. Luckily-her favorite movies is Monsters, Inc-so I dressed her as Boo. Can't get much more comfy than stretch pants and an oversize T-shirt. And one white sock of course. Oh-and 2 ponies.

I got her dressed easily enough-but we had a difference of opinion on footwear.

(She's saying "TA DA!)

I finally convinced her to ditch the boots-here's the "completed" look.

I took her to a Harvest Party at a nearby church-lots of silly carnival games, cake walks, chili contest, hot dog eating contest, raffle, popcorn, corn shucking contest (with free corn to take home) . . . .

Josie had a blast. While she never "roped the cow"-she did enjoy sitting on the horse.

And she loved the stick ponies . . .

She went strong for 2 hours-when I caught her sitting still for a minute (finally!)-I knew it was time to head home. She was wiped!

The one where I had to change the title of the post because of all the perverts

Josie doesn't seem to care for clothing. At least when she's at home. When we walk in the door she immediately sits down (as I try not to trip over her) and removes her shoes and socks or whines until I do it for her. She then will get up and strip off her clothing, leaving a trail on the floor.

Here, Josie had only managed to remove her jumper at this point.

This is pretty typical-while she hates her regular shoes, she likes her boots and plastic high heels.

She was annoyed with me in the next couple of shots. for making her stop and stand still. The walking in those shoes is the fun part. And she's so good at it, it's scary.

How can I not put her in gymnastics or ballet after seeing her in a leotard? And sunglasses of course!

Hi mama! I see you!

Instead of a sandbox, they had a "corn"box. Cool, huh?

The jumping pillow-easily the most fun thing there-I fell down almost immediately and couldn't get back up. Josie crawled out to the middle and was catching serious air. That's Julie and SP next to us.

Great fun had by all.

Sept 08 PLAN Playdate

Last Saturday we met up with some other PLAN families for an overdose of cuteness: Chloe, Taylor, Priya, SP and Josie had some fun at Piccolo Park. Josie seemed to wake up with a little bit of independence that day-she kept taking off on her own to play. Usually she makes me follow her around playgrounds so this was a nice change-I got to chat with all the other parents for a change. At one point she decided it was time to go home and tried to leave-so Shali and I had to herd her back to the playground!

We gathered (herded) up the kids for a group shot-SP's mommy (another Julie!) acted as the spotter . . . . This worked out pretty well-much better than the PLAN picnic last month where none of the pics had all the kids even vaguely looking in the same direction.

Josie loves her new Elmo shirt.

Super-cool shot of Chloe.
